There are 5 amazing beaches in Durness and further beaches to explore nearby in Kinlochbervie (where you will also find the famous walk out to Sandwood Bay), or further along the north east coast. All beaches are dog friendly and will often only have a handful of people on them, so you can enjoy vast expanses of golden sand to yourselves. On calm days, the sea is perfect for kayaking and paddle-boarding. And on wilder days, you may enjoy some surfing.
